This year has been full of many changes. Mitch left for Vicenza, Italy in October, and at the beginning of December was deployed to Camp Carwile in Afghanistan. Things are going okay for him, it's really cold there right now, and by Febuary it's suppose to get even colder. We get to talk pretty much everyday, the time difference is something i'm still getting use to. He seems to be doing good, I think sometimes it's harder for him than he leads on because I know being away from everyone, especially Harper is killing him, but for the most part his attitude seems good, he's keeping his chin up. He's so strong, and I am so proud of him. I am so blessed to be his wife. I miss him more and more each day & the love that I have for him just keeps growing & growing.I love you Mitch, and just want to Thank you for everything, you're the best husband,& friend anyone could ask for, I just wish I knew what I did to get so lucky!
Secondly our first baby was born on November 20th. We had a little girl; Harper McKell, she is the best thing in the world, Mitch and I couldn't be more excited. She is truley the best baby, and already has such a fun personality, and just makes the cutest yet funniest faces, she's our little character. I can't believe she is already a month and week old! the time has gone by so fast, which is good because that means the year will go by fast and mitch will be home. Harper is already smiling and has become more aware of us and you can just tell she has more of an idea of what's going on. She is already wearing her 3 month clothing, which is so crazy, my baby is going to definetly be taller than her momma, and she's the spitting image of her daddy from her eyes to the stubborness. hehe.
Jordan and Gidget have gotten use to the change of state, and house, the move from DC was a little rough for all of us, but it's just another adventure. Things are going good, and although life is good, it's also very tough going everyday without being able to kiss or hug mitch, skype has been a blessing, but it's still not the same, even though we get to see eachother, it'd be nice if I could just grab him and give him a big hug.
I have been going to school to be an elementry teacher, and I'm really excited about it. Moving home has been a crazy huge change, but a nice one as well. It's nice having family and friends close again, but I am stoked for 2011, Harper, the pups and I will be joining Mitch in Italy for the remainder of his time there. I couldn't be more excited! It's just one adventure after another. 2009 has been a wonderful, crazy, sad, exausting year, but every little bit has been so worth it. I can't wait to see what 2010 is going to bring, I can't wait to see what Harper is going to do next, & I can't wait to see my hubby again!
