Well today was the start of a whole new beginning! Mitch had his re-enlistment ceremony this morning. One year from now and we will be eating Real spaghetti.
let me give you an insight on what this next year is going to be about for the Thewes'! We are going to be moving to Vicenza, Italy where Mitch will be a part of the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, where he will be jumping out of airplanes and doing other infantry tasks. He has to report by October 10,2009. We still have a whole year but we are so excited and nervous at the same time. It's going to be a new adventure. The move is going to be huge for us. We are sad to leave our family and friends, but it will be a wonderful opportunity for Mitch and me. We will be there for 3 years though 1 of which Mitch will have to be deployed to Afghanistan or wherever he'll be needed. So far that is something we are not worrying about, although Mitch is really looking forward to being deployed. He's wanted to do his part since before he joined. My hubby was born to be a hero, and words cannot express how proud of him I am. Before the big move, Mitch plans on going back to Special Forces selection, and ranger school. We are hoping to go home (to Idaho) at least 2-3 more times before heading for the boot. Washington Dc was just a big and wonderful move for us both now we're off to Italy and are thrilled to see what adventures we can get into there. I am still working in the tanning salon, and am looking for just a little something else to fill in a couple nights a week to keep me busy. Mitch and I are so lucky to have one another and couldn't be happier!! also..Hopefully by next year we will be expecting our first baby so keep your fingers crossed!!
